It solves the problem of starting the engine, and in the future the on-board network is powered mainly from the generator. Meanwhile, a ultracapacitor instead of a battery is recommended to be used only in emergency mode, until it becomes possible to install a new battery. A braked starter can consume a very large current (hundreds of amperes).
